Many Ways to Help

Workplace or School:  BECOME A HFH PARTNER! Encourage your company to join the hundreds of others and run an employee fund and or food  drive.  As a student or teacher at a local school,  encourage your school to get involved. Sponsor a Dress-Down Day, have a bake sale or have a FOOD FIGHT competition! There are many great ideas to raise funds/food and have fun while helping out. Contact us for other ideas that could work for your school, office or group!

Remember that for every $1 donated, we can provide 6 meals. The most needed items are the "Super Six": cereal, peanut butter, canned vegetables, tuna fish, soup and beef stew. For every one pound of food donated, we can provide 1.2 meals.

Newspaper, Radio & Local Stores: On February 17, 2013 look for the Harvest for Hunger insert in your Sunday edition of The Morning Journal, The Chronicle Telegram and Sandusky Register.  The papers will also be running ads that can be clipped out and mailed. Our radio partners this year are WEOL, WOBL, WDLW, WGGN, WCPZ, WOHF, WMJK, WLEC, WLKR and WKFM. Buckeye Cablevision, Woodforest Bank in Norwalk and Sandusky and Payne, Nickles & Co are drop-off centers once again in Erie and Huron Counties. Stop by a local Giant Eagle or Heinen's stores to make a contribution through Check Out Hunger.  Shoppers are asked to make a donation at the cash register or drop off food donations at local Giant Eagle or Heinen's stores.
