Beginning April 6th, Walmart is teaming up with some of America’s favorite food manufacturers to fight hunger and spark change. Through the 2015 Fight Hunger Spark Change campaign, the public can raise money for Feeding America member food banks through three easy ways: in-store purchase, checkout line donations, and social media.

Our website has a fresh, new look! With generous support from the Nord Family Foundation, we are proud to share our new website—designed to be more user friendly, and to continue to serve as a main platform for sharing information with our community.

On Friday, February 20th, hundreds gathered to honor Leadership Lorain County’s Difference Makers. Presented to Lorain County leaders that are making a difference in our community, a select group of recipients are chosen each year to receive this honor at the Difference Makers Gala.

Our community partners that help us provide millions of meals each year come in all shapes and sizes. Custom Culinary® is a wholesale food company that provides food to restaurants all over the country. A successful local company, Custom Culinary is also a successful partner to Second Harvest.

It has been a whirlwind of excitement and activity over the past year as we have worked tirelessly on the campaign to bring our Nordson Food Distribution Center to life. In addition to building a new building, we have been busy expanding our programs, building our volunteer base, and working with 110 partner charities to ensure that healthy and fresh food is getting to our neighbors in need.
