Without volunteers donating their time and passion to our cause, we could not get food into the hands of children, seniors, and families who need food. Volunteers make it happen. That’s why every April, we take the time to celebrate our extraordinary volunteers during National Volunteer Month.
In 2022 over 2,570 volunteers served 21,600 hours. Over 200 volunteers reached the level of serving 20+ hours or more of services and will be honored at our annual appreciation event in May. The theme this year is From Small Seeds Grow Mighty Trees, celebrating the big impact each and every volunteer has on fulfilling our mission and vision. Last year, one of the special volunteer opportunities included Senior Box delivery teams and 37 volunteers logged 850 hours.
We are so appreciative to those who help us each day. There is much work to do, and we are always looking for new people to help sort food, work a distribution, or join the Senior Box delivery crew. Consider lending your time and talent to help us bring food to the community.
