Over the past 40 years, millions of nutritious meals have been provided for local families struggling with hunger. This year, more than ever, our neighbors and friends will be relying on us to help supply much needed food and groceries. We need your help, so let’s join together to bring them some Holiday Cheer!
Holiday Cheer begins November 21st and will continue through December 24th. Funds collected through the campaign are used to help put food on the table for local residents. A donation of just $1 can pay for SEVEN meals.
WOBL/WDLW Radio is a longtime partner with Second Harvest on the Holiday Cheer campaign and will also be collecting donations from the public this holiday season, including a special "lock-in" at the radio station with owner Gary Tollett & “DJ Jimbo”. They will be locking themselves in the station for the day beginning December 8th starting at 7 a.m. until midnight!
They won’t come out until they raise $10,000 but plan to stay in for the entire day even if that total is raised sooner. People can follow a walkway of candy canes around the station to see the broadcasters trapped inside and make donations.
Encourage family and friends to tune-in!
