Jenny Rivera

Director of Volunteer Relations

Jenny began her journey at Second Harvest in January 2019 as a Volunteer Program Specialist, bringing passion and energy while engaging our volunteers. By June of that year, she was promoted to Volunteer Relations Manager, and through her dedication and leadership, she rose to her current position as Director of Volunteer Relations. Over the years, she has become an integral part of Second Harvest’s mission, cultivating a thriving volunteer program that allows the organization to distribute nearly 13 million pounds of food annually.

A highlight of Jenny’s work is connecting with the amazing volunteers who make the mission possible. Whether coordinating schedules, working alongside volunteers in Repack, or participating in mobile pantries, she cherishes every opportunity to collaborate with people committed to making a difference. For Jenny, the work is more than a job—it’s about building meaningful relationships with volunteers, partners and community members to create lasting change.

Beyond Second Harvest, Jenny is an active member of the Lorain Lions Club, an organization that not only supports Second Harvest but also offers unique ways to give back to the community. Her dedication to service is reflected in every aspect of their life, as she continues to seek opportunities to uplift and empower others.

In her free time, Jenny enjoys being outside and cheering on the Cleveland Guardians. She loves being with her family and takes pride in serving her community.
