20 Years of Generous Helpings
Director of Operations
Getting food into and out of the warehouse is arguably the most important part of a food bank and has the most logistical hurdles. As Director of Operations, Linda oversees the warehouse, customer service for programs and partner charities, food resourcing, transportation logistics and facility management, ensuring that Second Harvest maintains the highest standards of efficiency and quality to best serve our community members.
Linda joined Second Harvest in October 2020 as a Distribution Coordinator, bringing a deep passion for service and community care to the organization. Over the years, she has embraced multiple roles, including Food Resource Coordinator and Food Resource Manager, before earning her current title as Director of Operations. Each step of her journey has been marked by a steadfast commitment to excellence, teamwork and innovation.
Her favorite part of the job is working alongside a team of dedicated individuals who share her passion for making a difference.
Linda’s connection to Second Harvest’s mission is deeply personal. As the youngest of seven siblings raised by a single mother, she understands the struggles of food insecurity firsthand. This personal experience fuels her determination to assist others in providing food for their families. Her role at Second Harvest allows her to channel her compassion and leadership into providing hope and nourishment for those who need a little extra help.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Linda is an active member of her community. She leads a group of young women in student ministries every Sunday night as well as weekend retreats and summer camp. She served on the board of the Campbell Christian Community Center in Sandusky and led a women’s Bible study group all of which reflect her commitment to fostering growth and connection in all aspects of life.
When Linda isn’t working or volunteering, you can find her enjoying a perfectly cooked steak, cheering on THE Ohio State Buckeyes, or traveling to a Christian concert. She loves living near the lake and watching its stunning sunsets.
